Evening Club Leagues

Monday League

Monday League is open to MLTC members and non-members.  Players txt the organiser to advise if they will be playing that evening and games are organised on the ability of those playing to ensure competitive matches.  There are three rounds of games played within a two-hour timeframe.

6.30pm – 6.40pm Warm up
6.40pm – 6.45pm Set partners
6.50pm – 7.20pm 1st match
7.25pm – 7.55pm 2nd match
8.00pm – 8.30pm 3rd match

Tuesday Evening Business House

Tuesday evening business house runs from 7pm to 9.30pm weekly

Teams consist of 4 players ideally 2 male and 2 female. Each team member plays 3 games of doubles (first to 7 games) playing with all of their teammates.

Cost per night:
Members $3.00
Non-Members $10

The league runs for 40 weeks through the year.

Thursday Evening Business House

This doubles league is for adult players of varying abilities (players are ranked from 1 to 4) is held during three distinct 11 week seasons: Summer (Feb. – Apr), Winter (May – Jul.) and Spring (Oct. – Dec.).

A maximum of 10 teams of 4 players (preferably 2 men & 2 ladies) plays every Thursday Night (7.00 – 9.30pm) during each season against all the other 9 teams. Every player plays 3 doubles sets with each of their fellow team members against their opposite numbered player.

A league table is updated every week and posted in the clubhouse and on http://www.mltc.co.nz. Semi-final and final nights are held and awards are given for the team winners, runners-up, 3rd place and individual MVPs.
